Frugal flowers for Valentine's day

You don't have to pay $$$$$ for flowers for your Hunny on Valentine's Day. It's easy to get lovely, quality flowers for a price that keeps something in your wallet for Feb. 15 and beyond.

For your blooms, try your local grocery store. Aldi has flowers for $3.99/bunch. Put 2 or 3 together for a showstopper bouquet.

Or try your local farmer's market. In my town, you can pick up gorgeous bouquets at the farmer's market for way less than a florist's V-day mark-up.

Once you have your flowers, visit your local thrift store for a kickin' vase. Like these (especially the cute curvy one in the center):

The price:

Yes, that says $1.99. Can't beat that!

About Me

Yeah, it was me. I’m the woman in the line in front of you at the store, handing the cashier more coupons than dollar bills. Wondering how you can do it too? You’ve come to the right place. I don’t think I’ve ever met a coupon I didn’t like. My friends will tell you I was thrifty before the Great Recession made it hip. I created Love It For Less to show you how you can buy your favorite brands and shop your favorite stores for less money -- because having money left over for something else is never a bad thing.
